We had a special Christmas Outing this
year when the Practice closed for a day and we all went to London!
We started with an early, chilly start,
a coach from Harris Coaches of Bromsgrove and fortunately a clear run into
Oxford Street. There were a few hours for Christmas shopping before we all met
up at Langhams Hotel for afternoon tea which was a fabulous experience.
There was a huge range of teas to choose from, a glass of champagne, a selection of tasty sandwiches, some warm scones with jam and clotted cream which hardly left space for a final round of delicate and beautiful cakes. And all this in the very elegant Palm Court complete with live pianist.
We then went out into the cold again for
a walk down Regent Street to see the Christmas lights with stops at Liberty
(where a life-like donkey was the star attraction) and Carnaby Street along the
way. We met the coach again on Piccadilly and had a clear run back to
It was a tiring but very enjoyable day
which, Peter said, was not likely to be repeated for a while!
